  • Shop information (for Verified Shops)
  • Parent verification details (PVC)
  • Reports and safety submissions

3.2 Data Collected Automatically

  • Device information (model, OS, app version)
  • Log data (IP address, timestamps, errors)
  • Usage data (features used, interactions)
  • Approximate location (city-level only)

We do not collect precise home addresses.

3.3 Location Data

We may collect:

  • Approximate city-level location for map filtering
  • In-store check-ins when you scan a QR code

We do not track your real-time movement.

3.4 Teen Mode Data

For users under 18, we collect:

  • Age bracket (not full date of birth)
  • Teen-safe map interactions
  • Parent-linked account status

We never show teen data to adult users.

3.5 Parent-Verified Child Accounts (PVC)

If enabled, parents may receive:

  • Shop check-ins
  • Loot box redemptions
  • Restricted-area warnings

Parents do not receive real-time location, home address, or private messages.

4. How We Use Your Data

4.1 Provide and Improve the Service

  • Create and manage your account
  • Display shops, listings, and rewards
  • Operate Teen Mode and Young Adult Mode
  • Enable Verified Shop features
  • Improve safety and performance

4.2 Safety & Moderation

  • Detect unsafe behaviour
  • Enforce age restrictions
  • Prevent adult-teen contact
  • Remove harmful content
  • Support reporting and appeals

4.3 Communication

  • Send service updates
  • Notify you about shop responses
  • Provide safety alerts (PVC)

We do not send marketing without consent.

4.4 Legal Compliance

  • Prevent fraud
  • Respond to lawful requests
  • Maintain platform integrity

5. Legal Bases for Processing

We process your data under the following legal bases:

  • Contract — to provide the Services
  • Legitimate interests — safety, fraud prevention, platform improvement

We never sell personal data.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep data only as long as necessary:

  • Teen Mode data — until you turn 18
  • PVC data — until link is removed
  • Logs — typically 12–24 months
  • Reports — up to 5 years for safety compliance

You may request deletion at any time.

8. Sharing Your Data

8.1 Service Providers

We may share data with:

  • Cloud hosting
  • Analytics
  • Map services (Mapbox)
  • Payment processors (if used)

These providers must follow strict data-protection rules.

8.2 Verified Shops

Shops only receive your want-list request (if you choose to contact them) and your in-store check-in (if you scan their QR code).

Shops never receive your email, profile details, age, or location history.

8.3 Legal Requirements

We may share data if required by law enforcement, court orders, or regulatory authorities. We challenge requests that are unlawful or excessive.

9. Teen & Young Adult Protections

9.1 Teen Mode

  • Adults cannot see teen profiles
  • Adults cannot message teens
  • Teen map markers are hidden
  • Adult-only shops and rewards are blocked

9.2 Young Adult Mode

Users aged 18–19 (or 18–21 US) may enable under-25 visibility, restricted contact controls, and optional parent link continuation.

9.3 Legacy Friend Rule

18-year-olds may message existing 17-year-old friends only. No new under-18 connections are allowed.

10. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data
  • Restrict processing
  • Object to processing
  • Port your data
